Leighton Buzzard Market Deliveries

Darren’s  Fruit and Veg stall near to Boots and the Bread stall La Isla Bakery are doing weekly  deliveries

 

 

Details and prices are below  Orders need to be emailed to  Victoria.harvey@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk  tel 07815 817 108  by  1pm on  Monday, then delivery is on Thursday  morning

James Morris of  Safe and Healthy Homes  is  helping with the delivery entirely voluntarily and  Victoria  Harvey is also doing this entirely voluntarily  to  help people stay safe   at home, provide good food  etc to the residents of Leighton Buzzard  and also to support the market traders at this difficult time.

 

Also Kevin from   Morgan Pell  who has been at the Leighton Buzzard  Farmers Market for 20 years  is delivering  beef and lamb etc every third  Saturday in the month.

We are hoping to expand the  number of  market traders involved with  plant sales from both Darren and from Turners Nurseries  will be organised shortly please contact  Victoria if you are interested.

 

Please can you send me your order  by email to Katrina  (with me copied in)   with your name, address,  phone number and email  and the details of your order.  I  know that you have ordered before, but having all the details in one place helps us double check more easily.

 

Please send me your order by  Monday 1pm at the latest.. I will then send it to Ashley  Darren’s wife  who will check the availability of the different types of veg , work out the price and then will return it to Katrina and me  on Tuesday.  We  will send out the final cost  on Tuesday/ Wednesday morning  with the payment details and then can you pay on Wednesday.   It is important that you don’t pay till Wednesday as Ashley is also managing all the  Dunstable  orders  and this makes a huge difference with the admin.  If you can pay on Wednesday daytime preferably by 5pm it is a huge help.

 

There is definitely no cauliflower available  this week. The strawberries are now English Strawberries

The Rotary Club are assisting with the  admin and  payment will be through their bank  account  for individual payments and then they will be paying  Mark  Nash who runs the bread stall  for the total. The Rotary Club is acting charitably to provide a payment mechanism for the transaction but has no responsibility for the product or its delivery.

Kevin has a lovely farm of cows and sheep  near to Bedford with  widlfolwer meadows, trees, tall hedges etc. He has been trading at Leighton Buzzard for the last 20 years on the Farmers market. He also does some bacon and other things  see his price list.

 Delivery is  every third Saturday of the month so  April 18th and  May  16th if you can order over  a week before you can be certain  of getting  everything you want. You can order up to Thursday evening before  but you might have to alter your order depending on availability.
